By Shane Starling, 26-Jun-2009
I thought this was really important. You’ll notice that they say that this is not definitive, but I am not willing to wait for all the I’s to be dotted and the T’s to be crossed, which could take years and years. The evidence so far is convincing enough that I make sure to get my Omega 3′s daily. You’ll want to be sure that the brand you …

Taking a high-quality daily supplement helps fill in the dietary gaps that everyone will have. How many people do you know who

When you look at the label of a multi, the first thing is to determine if all of the vitamins and minerals that are needed by everyone are actually in the bottle. The government has developed guidelines for Daily Values (DVs), which are the minimum amount that is needed every day. There are 25 nutrients including iron, that have a DV.
If the label doesn’t show a percentage of DV, (not just a quantity), for all of them, then the vitamin is probably lacking some of the nutrients that should be …

In theory only! If a product is properly formulated and is using the most appropriate way to deliver the nutrients to the cells of the body, then absorption is not a consideration. It is formulated to be absorbed. A correctly formulated tablet supplement will stand the test of blood analysis to determine that it is indeed showing up in the blood cells.
Conversely, a liquid vitamin that has not been properly formulated to insure absorption may not deliver the goods. Liquid doesn’t automatically equate to a good delivery system. In fact, …

If you are looking at food based nutrients, that is like saying that all tomatoes are the same, that the tomato eaten fresh from one’s organic garden is not better, and won’t taste better than the tomato that was picked before it was ripe and reaches your table days or weeks later.
Food based vitamins are derived from plants, whose nutritional values depend on a number of factors; such as,

The word “Natural” on a label can mean many things. It is definitely a time to remember the phrase, “buyer beware.” Legally, the label can say “natural,” and it doesn’t necessarily mean that the vitamin in the bottle is actually from food. In fact, the words “all natural” are rarely true.
